I first visited their tea farm on a vacation about two years ago and bought a tin of their creamy earl grey. Two years later and a tin down, I need a resupply! I usually make my cups the English way with milk and sugar, and I found that it really compliments the vanilla extract added to the leaves. I highly recommend this tea if you’re looking for a creative take on earl grey.
Our tea shipment arrived on a particularly cold day, so it was a great time brew my first cup and get warm and cozy. I love the notes of vanilla. It's an enjoyable blend.
This is the best Earl Grey I have ever had and believe me, I have tested far and wide… across countries, sources, and brands. Since discovering Light of Day 15 or so years ago, nothing has even come close. I happily pay hefty shipping to the Northeast to never run out of this. I drink it every morning and have for years. The smell is out of this world. The mouth feel is delightfully light and creamy. On top of that, I have toured Light of Day many times over the years and can attest to how lovely the grounds are and how much care the staff put into making tea. Buy this, you won’t regret it.

This arrived just before the latest round of the winter deep freeze struck in Illinois. It's tasty by itself or with a shot or two of honey.
A first timer trying this matcha, it has a smooth less bitter taste compared to other upper end matchas I've tried. It has a bright green color, a very nice texture and flavor that I will contine to enjoy regularly. I use a half teaspoon of matcha to 4 oz or water heated to between 110 and 115 degrees F. (I used a candy thermometer the first few times to get a feel for the right water temperature before adding the matcha. I follow Light of Day's recommendation to keep the water temperature below 118 degrees F to maximixe the antioxidants.) As a regular tea drinker, I really enjoy this matcha.

I have ordered this matcha several times over the last few years and it is an incredible product. The grind is ever-so fine, the taste is lovely and the consistency of quality is remarkable. I imagine I will always drink THIS matcha when I make matcha tea. I have some every afternoon and it lifts without the jitters I can get from a black tea. It is a mellow kind of aliveness. I cannot recommend highly enough.
