What is Matcha?Matcha is a Green Tea product made from a style of tea leaf called Tencha. Chlorophyll-rich Tencha leaf harvest is our first Spring farm project. Producing a finished product of this quality requires the partnership of a well qualified pharmaceutical lab with the specialty equipment necessary to test then process the leaves while also prevent oxidation.
We are extremely diligent about safety and purity of our product offerings.The Tencha leaves used in Light of Day Organics Matcha products are tested prior to grinding into the fine powder and packaging into 40 gram tins, 200 gram and 1 kg. bags or encapsulated in Vegetarian capsules shells. Testing is performed for contaminants such as pesticide residue, heavy metals, radiation, bacteria, molds, fluoride or anything harmful. Farm soils and water for irrigation are tested during annual USDA Organic and Demeter Biodynamic farm inspections. We are daily consumers of our products, too, so want them to be excellent just as you do.
