The $250 price shown is the deposit amount due to secure your date once confirmed, and will be applied towards your total.
General pricing is $500 for each 4 hours of private event Meditation Garden Rental, and $100/ hour thereafter. Price includes exclusive use of our Mediation Garden and large gazebo (with electricity and tables), a welcoming and safe seated fire circle area, several outdoor tables and benches, acres of parking, and a handicap- accessible restroom. It's just PERFECT for family events, graduation parties, birthday parties, anniversary parties, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, small receptions, day retreats (professional or recreational), mellow class reunions...sky's the limit.
You may bring in your own food/ catering, however all events require that Light of Day Organic Tea is part of every visitor's experience. As a specialty grower and producer of a rare agricultural commodity right here in Leelanau County, all of our events must include include prepared teas to serve to visitors, and educational materials are provided for guests to learn about what we do here. This requirement is in keeping with Leelanau County's local zoning ordinance and emphasized here in respect for Federal and State of Michigan grant funds awarded which have helped this project to thrive since 2003.
"In the Round" Yurt Classroom rental is $250 for two hours then $100 per hour thereafter. Includes tea service (2 airpots of prepared tea and ceramic cups). This incredible, intimate "in the round" sacred space is perfect for tea educational events, team gatherings, workshops, counseling sessions, non-profit organization meetings, staff development, chair yoga, tea-themed mellow girl's night, intimate musical performances, graduation party display of awards when combined with rental of Meditation garden. It's a very sweet & sacred space intended for bonding activities. This is sacred space, so alcoholic beverages are prohibited inside of the Yurt.

Our Courtyard area (for outdoor activities like Tai Chi, Yoga Classes or a larger event requiring a tent) is a potential add on to any of the rentals and price is determined based on activity.
Please note that weekend pricing and certain event-specific pricing (such as weddings, festivals, larger events) is determined by intended use. Please inquire for a quote.
Please write to owner, angela@lightofdayorganics.com to secure your date, then make $250 non-refundable deposit here below. After speaking by phone (to create understanding of both what your intended use is and what we can provide to you), a rental contract will be created with a quote and sent to you via email detailing the agreed-on specifics. If you would like to have alcohol at your event, you will need to hire a Serve-safe certified vendor to serve it. You will be required to sign a release of liability form releasing Light of Day Organics of any and all liability related to your private event here at our farm.
