Ingredients:Organic Vervain, Organic Rose Hips, Organic Lemon grass, Organic Lemon balm, Organic Orange peel, Organic Calendula, and Organic Marigold.

Blender's notes: A tried and true masterpiece blended for my dear friend and mentor, the late Jayne Leatherman. This was her favorite sleepytime tea which we perfected together using our own personal trials over several years. Slightly citrus and mildly sweet.

EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS "NAPTIME" TEA:

Vervain:is a deeply penetrating nervine that soothes and sedates the nervous system. It is a relaxing and uplifting herb that can stimulate the release of the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, enhancing mood and well being.

Rose Hips: Loaded with vitamin C, rose hip is also used for stomach disorders including stomach spasms, stomach acid deficiency, preventing stomach irritation and ulcers, and as a "stomach tonic" for intestinal diseases. Rose hip is also used for diarrhea, constipation, gallstones, gallbladder ailments, lower urinary tract and kidney disorders, fluid retention (dropsy or edema), gout, back and leg pain (sciatica), diabetes, high cholesterol, weight loss, high blood pressure, chest ailments, fever, increasing immune function during exhaustion, increasing blood flow in the limbs, increasing urine flow and quenching thirst.

Lemon Grass: You may have encountered Lemongrass before in Southeast Asian cuisine as it is native to India, China, and Thailand. It can be grown as an annual herb here in Northern Michigan. This aromatic plant is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent and can boost circulation. Its lemon flavor is very light and refreshing.

Lemon Balm: This mood-elevating herbal allay contains flavonoids and phenolic acids that can help fight viruses.

Orange Peel:The antioxidant vitamin C, when eaten in its natural form (as in an orange) or applied topically, can help to fight skin damage caused by the sun and pollution, reduce wrinkles and improve overall skin texture. Vitamin C from citrus fruits plays a vital role in the formation of collagen, the support system of your skin.

Calendula: Calendula is an age-old antifungal, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, wound-healing ally. It is the emollient ingredient that makes this tea taste "creamy" on your tongue.

Marigold:It has been found that Marigold has the ability to promote the growth of healthy new tissue, increase blood flow to the affected area, boost collagen production (which firms and strengthens skin), hydrate dry skin and speed up the process of skin repair following surgery or damage.

Sweet dreams indeed

Actually, this is my favorite breakfast tea. Sweet and subtle, fragrant with rose hips. Yet this herbal manages to be among the most robust.
