Green Tea: Compounds in green tea can improve brain function and make you smarter. Orange: The fiber, potassium, vitamin C and choline content in oranges all support heart health. Contains a high content of antioxidants and polyphenols, known for neutralizing the potentially harmful effects of free radicals.
Orange: The antioxidant vitamin C, when eaten in its natural form (as in an orange) or applied topically, can help to fight skin damage caused by the sun and pollution, reduce wrinkles and improve overall skin texture. Vitamin C from citrus peels plays a vital role in the formation of collagen, the support system of your skin.
Apple: Apples contain pectin, a type of fiber that acts as a prebiotic. This means it feeds the good bacteria in your gut.
Pear: Fighting free radicals, pears contain high levels of antioxidants, including vitamin C and K, and copper. These chemicals mop up free radicals, protecting our cells from the damage they can cause.
Mango: Mango is low in calories yet high in nutrients — particularly vitamin C, which aids immunity, iron absorption and growth and repair. Rose hips: Preliminary research indicates that rose hip may help prevent type 2 diabetes, particularly in people with risk factors such as obesity and high blood pressure. Hibiscus: Interestingly, studies have shown that hibiscus may promote liver health and help keep it working efficiently.
Calendula: There are also some anti-spasmodic properties of calendula that are also taken advantage of by many people. If you suffer from a nervous system disorder, have painful cramping in relation to menstruation or some other type of spasmodic condition, adding calendula to your diet may be beneficial.
