USDA Certified Organic Ingredients: Rooibos, Blueberry, Vanilla Bean Extract and Blue Cornflowers
Blender's Notes: This tisane was originally blended as a Father’s Day gift for Angela’s Blueberry-farming Dad, Bob. Silky, soothing and satisfying. Mineral-rich Rooibos base. Tastes like a fresh blueberry scone. Naturally Caffeine-free.
Red Rooibos: Rooibos tea contains vital minerals including calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc and alpha hydroxyl acid. As with most true teas and herbal teas, it also contains high levels of vitamin C along with powerful antioxidants such as aspalathin that offer extensive health benefits.
Blueberry: The blueberry is a very popular berry. It is low in calories but high in fiber, vitamin C and vitamin K.
Cornflower: The plant’s medicinal value lies primarily in its anti-inflammatory properties. Taken internally as an herbal tea, it is thought to aid in soothing stomach ulcers, while rinsing with the tea is used to speed the healing of sores or bleeding gums in the mouth.
Vanilla Bean Extract: Vanilla beans and natural vanilla extract contains numerous antioxidants, including vanillic acid and vanillin. The vanillin found in vanilla extract may have cholesterol-lowering benefits, according to a study published in 2013 in the "Indian Journal of Experimental Biology."Antioxidants can help prevent cell and tissue breakdown, stimulate the body's natural regrowth and eliminate free radicals. Antioxidants may also shield the immune system, decrease body stress and encourage faster recovery from injuries, illnesses or toxicities.
