My time at Light of Day was so special! To learn about the health benefits of these teas, and the way Angela sweetly shared her wealth of knowledge, was a gift. The sacredness of the space for class, the delicious teas, the sweet store, and the amazing grounds were all top notch. Seeing (and smelling) the living, rich soil was actually a bit emotional for me. Angela has created a small piece of what this earth and our bodies are craving! She has much to offer and I am truly grateful. 🤍
Hello Angela, This email is very delayed as we visited your tea farm late August of this year. My husband, Jim (solar biz) and I, along with our friends Lori and Bob thoroughly enjoy the farm tour, information, healing energy, and most importantly your teas. When smelling all of your delightful teas, I came upon Happy Spleen. I knew upon the first sniff that I felt a strong urge that I have to have it. It is a daily enjoyment served cold with the juice of one lime and a couple of drops of stevia. Amazing! You mentioned during the tour that you have a reading list to share. I would appreciate that whenever you have the time. We will be sure to stop by the next time we are in the TC area...usually every summer and sometimes a quick winter trip. Retiring in the area is definitely in our conversations. Blessings to you, your family, and farm. Thanks so much, Becky S
Your class and tour were absolutely amazing and I find myself reflecting on both so often! I am now drinking your tea nearly daily, drinking a large glass of water to take my matcha capsules first thing each morning, and singing your praises. The class itself was truly fascinating and engaging. I wish I had taken better notes along the way, but I found your knowledge and passion captivating and loved actually sipping each tea you introduced while explaining its flavor notes, what medicinal and/or mood enhancing properties each has, how best to enjoy it, etc. Your knowledge and passion encouraged me to fully jump in.
The tour through the farm brought me to a place inside me that I have not visited for years. Grounding, delightful, connecting-with-the-earth, I felt transported. Thank you. I am not a gardener, nor do I yet understand all that it takes TO garden sustainably, respectfully, successfully, but I know how it feels. You and Michael showed genuine and generous hospitality which made Amy and me feel so welcomed along with the others in our group. It is clearly evident that farming tea, along with the other plants, herbs you grow is laborious, takes time and patience as things mature and grow, involves trial and error, and yet, as each of you talks about what you do, what is growing, the specific work involved in farming and keeping all parts of it up and running, you speak as though it is like breathing; there is no angst, no heaving sighs, no complaints. Your passion along with your having found your true home in what you have created shows in your ease of and delight in sharing.
Here's to a beautiful fall for you and all involved with Light of Day. I am ever grateful we looked twice as we drove past last year and intentionally stopped in and then signed up for your class and tour this summer.
Exactly what we were hoping for! You are guided "beyond the ropes" back to see the farm's hoop houses where the teas are being grown, you watch staff picking tea leaves, herbs and fruits, flowers, etc. Grounds are beautiful and serene. Neat as a pin!
We brought picnic basket and blanket and enjoyed the Meditation garden area afterwards (I even caught a little nap!). Highly recommend. These folks really know what they are doing. Authentic.
Chance of a lifetime to see live tea plants, especially in Michigan!
