Cacao Mint

Ingredients:Organic Black Tea, Organic Peppermint leaf, Organic Cacao nibs

Blender's Notes : This fine tea is such a nice compliment at the end of a meal. Mildly minty and with sweet chocolate notes from the Cacao nibs, this "picker-upper", and is one of our favorites in the afternoon when we need a little lift. (YUM!).  Naturally caffeinated.

Black Tea:  The top benefits of Black tea include boosting cardiovascular health, preventing certain cancers, improving cognitive function, and speeding the metabolism, among many others.

Peppermint:  Peppermint has antibacterial properties against microscopic organisms, supports healthy digestion and has an uplifting aroma. It is also considered to be a stress reliever, as the menthol that is present in the herb is known to be a muscle relaxant and antispasmodic in nature. It also can leave you feeling full so as not to consume those extra calories! It can sooth the stomach and relieve the digestion process. It has antiseptic and antibacterial properties as well, so it can fight bad breath.  According to Nutritionist Dr. Simran Saini from Fortis Hospital, "Peppermint tea helps in aiding weight loss, reduces heartburn, makes your skin glow, induces sleep and provides satiety, further helping you to lose weight. There is barely any side effect of peppermint tea; so you can drink it any time you want to.” Nutritionist and Macrobiotic Health Coach Shilpa Arora agrees, “It is a great concoction for metabolism relieves excessive acidity and clears acne if applied to the skin. People with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) should have the tea at least 3-4 times to heal the gut.”

Cacao Nibs:  Unlike many chocolate products, cacao nibs are naturally low in sugar. They’re also a good source of fiber, protein, and healthy fats — nutrients that help promote feelings of fullness. Cacao nibs are the raw material used to make both cocoa powder and dark chocolate – so they have similar antioxidant benefits to those two superfoods. That means that Cacao Nibs are a great source of flavanols, a family of heart- healthy antioxidants that help relax your blood vessels and lower your blood pressure.  Also, one ounce of Cacoa Nibs has 9 grams of fiber, 64 milligrams of magnesium, 183 milligrams of potassium, 6% of your daily iron needs.  It also works wonders on our neurotransmitters, especially the ones that relay good feelings!
