Fun Recipes Using Tea
1. Light of Day’s Creamy Early Grey Slushy made with Tequila or Gin
Prepare tea in advance by adding 1 heaping teaspoon Creamy Earl Grey Tea to simmering water in a covered quart jar for 10 minutes, then place jar in refrigerator until well cooled. Then, in blender, combine 2 cups ice, 2 Cups steeped and cooled tea, and 4 ounces of Sparkle Donkey Vanilla Tequila or Iron Fish’s delicious local Gin.
Pulse blender until ice is at “slushy” consistency. Pour into 2 tall salt-rimmed glasses and garnish with Lime wedge.
Serves 2.
2. "The Freezeling" (Tea & Wine Slushy) 
Prepare tea in advance by adding 2 heaping teaspoons Light of Day’s "Hummingbird Nectar" Tea to an infuser and placing in a quart jar full of simmering water. Cover and steep for 10 minutes, then place jar in refrigerator until well cooled. Then, in blender, combine 2 cups ice, 2 Cups steeped and cooled tea, and 2 cups of Peninsula Cellar’s Late Harvest Resiling or L. Mawby's "Redd". Pulse blender until ice is at “slushy” consistency. Garnish with Orange and Cherry. Makes 2 generous, refreshing portions.
3. Making Hummingbird Nectar tea ice cubes for making beautiful cocktails and "mocktails" (non-alcoholic cocktails)
Prepare loose leaf teas in advance by adding 2 teaspoons of Light of Day’s "Hummingbird Nectar" tea to an infuser and placing in a quart jar full of simmering hot water. Cover and steep for 20 minutes. Let cool completely, then pour into ice cube trays or popsicle trays. Add a cherry, a few berries or an orange slice if desired to each tray. Freeze overnight, then store in ziplock bags for easy access to add to your favorite beer, wine, soda, juice or tea. Excellent source of vitamin C!
4. Liquid Sunshine Sexy Tea & Bubbly Slushy 
Prepare loose leaf tea in advance by adding 1 heaping teaspoon of Light of Day’s "Coffee Convert" loose leaf tea to an infuser then placing in a quart jar full of simmering water. Cover and steep for 10 minutes, then place jar in refrigerator until very well cooled. Then, in blender, combine 2 cups ice, 2 cups steeped and cooled tea, and 2 cups of your favorite Lemonade or Limeade. Add 4 ounces of Brandy, 4 ounces of L. Mawby’s “Sex” bubbly, a full can of their “Casual Sunlight” bubbly or their sweeter "Detroit" bubbly and blend well. 
Serves 4.  Garnish with Lemon Wedge.
